There was a time when nothing existed the way we understand it today. No sky, no earth, no movement of time.
The universe had dissolved into a deep stillness known as pralaya.
In that vast emptiness, even memory had disappeared. Floating in this silence were three beings Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. But in that moment, they did not know who they were.
They had no sense of identity, no idea of their purpose. There was only a quiet awareness and a gentle pull guiding them forward.
They followed that pull without knowing why.
Slowly, the endless stillness changed. Before them appeared Manidvipa, the island of jewels. It was not like any place within the universe. It felt like the source of everything. Light did not shine on it. It came from it. At its center sat a radiant presence, calm and complete.
She was Adi Parashakti, the supreme energy behind all existence.
The three looked at her, unable to look away. Yet they could not recognize her. There was no memory to guide them. Still, something inside them felt connected to her. It was a quiet, deep knowing that did not need words.
Among them, Vishnu was the first to feel it clearly. A memory began to form. He saw himself as a small child, floating alone on a leaf in a vast cosmic ocean. Then he saw her. She held him gently and sang to him. The feeling was warm, familiar, and complete. In that moment, he understood.
He turned to the others and said softly, “She is our mother.”
The Devi smiled. It was a simple smile, but it changed everything. In that instant, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva felt themselves transform. Their forms changed, and they became women.
This was not meant to confuse or punish them. It was meant to help them understand. For the first time, they were not acting, creating, or controlling. They were simply present, aware and still.
In that state, a clear truth emerged. They realized they were not the source of their own power. They had always depended on something greater. Without Shakti, nothing could happen. Without energy, there could be no creation, no preservation, and no transformation. The roles they would later play were not independent. They were part of a larger force that moved through them.
Then the Devi gave them what they needed to fulfill their roles.
To Brahma, she gave Saraswati, the power of knowledge and creativity.
To Vishnu, she gave Lakshmi, the power of balance and abundance.
To Shiva, she gave Parvati, the power of strength and transformation.
As these energies became part of them, their memories returned. Their forms changed back. They once again knew who they were and what they were meant to do. But now, they understood something deeper. Their power did not belong to them alone. It came from her.
With this understanding, they stepped forward. Creation began again. But this time, it began with awareness.
In the presence of Adi Parashakti, they realized that all power flows from Shakti, not from form or role. Only after receiving her energy did creation truly begin, reminding us that everything in existence moves because of her.
