Hiranyaksha: Hiranyaksha is a demon king who was slain by the god Vishnu in the form of the boar-headed avatar Varaha. He is known for his immense strength and his role in stealing the earth and hiding it at the bottom of the cosmic ocean.

Impressed with his devotion, Brahma granted Andhaka victories throughout his life but could not grant him immortality as death was an inevitable part of life. Instead, Brahma blessed him with the ability to die when he sought the unattainable.
With Lord Brahma’s blessings, Andhakasura waged a vicious war against the gods. The gods were no match for his power, and they turned to Lord Shiva for help. After hearing their pleas, Lord Shiva decided to intervene and defeat Andhakasura.
Enraged at the thought of fighting Lord Shiva, Andhakasura gathered his mightiest warriors and sent them to battle. But Lord Shiva defeated them all and confronted Andhakasura himself. Realizing that he was no match for Lord Shiva, Andhakasura fled and took refuge in Goddess Parvati’s chambers, intending to abduct her and teach Shiva a lesson.
Lord Shiva was furious when he learned of Andhakasura’s plan and struck him with his trident. Andhakasura’s blood flowed from his body and onto the ground, resulting in the birth of thousands of new demons. To prevent further births, Lord Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra to kill the demons born from Andhakasura’s blood.
Finally, Lord Shiva struck Andhakasura with his trident and held him up for a thousand years, collecting his blood to prevent the birth of more demons. After a thousand years, Andhakasura realized his mistake and begged for Lord Shiva’s forgiveness. Peace was restored on earth and in the heavens.
