This is a heartwarming tale of the secret name that only Radha could call Krishna by, a name so powerful that it would bring him to her side no matter where he was.
Characters in the story:
Lord Krishna: Lord Krishna is one of the most popular and revered deities in Hinduism. He is worshiped as the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu and is known for his divine teachings in the Bhagavad Gita and for his role in the epic Mahabharata.
Radha: Radha, also called Radhika and Radharani, is a Hindu goddess and the chief consort of Krishna. She is the goddess of love, tenderness, compassion, and devotion. She is the feminine counterpart and internal potency (hladini shakti) of Krishna.

In the beautiful land of Vrindavan, where the Yamuna River flowed gently and the air was filled with the sweet smell of flowers, Radha and Krishna shared a love unlike any other. Their bond was special—filled with silent smiles, stolen glances, and the soft music of Krishna’s flute.
Among all the people who loved Krishna, Radha was the only one who truly understood him. She knew his heart better than anyone else. Their love was pure and timeless.
One evening, Radha sat by the river, watching the golden sunset. Krishna walked towards her, his face glowing with happiness. Radha smiled and softly whispered a name, “Shyamsundar Mohan.”
As soon as Krishna heard it, he stopped and looked at her with love in his eyes. This was not just any name; it was a special name that only Radha knew. It made Krishna feel deeply connected to her.
Krishna smiled and said, “Radha, only you can call me by this name.”
Radha laughed gently and replied, “It is not just a name, Krishna. It is my heart calling to yours. No matter where you are, when I say it, you will always come to me.”
And it was true. Whenever Radha whispered “Shyamsundar Mohan,” Krishna would leave everything he was doing—whether he was playing his flute, looking after the cows, or talking to his friends—and rush to her side. It was as if her voice had a magic power over him.
The other gopis (village girls) often wondered what Radha called Krishna that made him come to her so quickly. They asked him, but Krishna only smiled and said, “It is a secret between me and Radha.”
Radha’s friends, Lalita and Vishakha, tried to find out the name by hiding and listening, but they could never hear it. It was as if the wind carried it away, keeping it a secret.
Even when Krishna had to leave Vrindavan for Mathura, Radha stood by the river and whispered “Shyamsundar Mohan.” Far away, Krishna felt the name in his heart and longed to return to her.
They say that even today, if you close your eyes and listen closely in the quiet forests of Vrindavan, you might hear Radha’s gentle voice whispering Krishna’s secret name. In that magical moment, it feels as if Krishna never left, his presence lingering in the breeze, forever listening, forever near.
True love does not need words. It is a connection of hearts. Some bonds are so deep that they last forever, even beyond time and distance.
